Data Policy

How Social Dig handles the client, audience and advertising data used in your workspaces.

1. Scope and permitted use

This policy covers data entered into Social Dig and information returned by authorised platform connections. Use the service only for clients and accounts you are authorised to manage, and ensure you have an appropriate legal basis for personal information you provide. Do not upload passwords, payment details, sensitive personal information or individual customer lists into targeting briefs.

2. Client workspace separation

Client records are scoped to their workspace. Access depends on workspace membership and permissions; approval and administrative actions require the corresponding authority.

3. Connected platform data

Meta and LinkedIn information is accessed only when a connection and required permissions are available. Authorised data is used to map accounts, check permissions, validate targeting and retrieve estimates where supported. Options and estimates carry their source and time. Estimates are not guaranteed reach. Missing access or unsupported information is shown as unavailable, not invented.

Platform connections are handled through server-side services rather than exposing credentials in the workspace interface. You can revoke access in the platform's settings. Revocation is separate from deletion of previously saved Social Dig data.

4. AI proposals and version history

AI may translate a brief into proposed targeting. Briefs and relevant context may be sent to the AI provider for that request. A proposal is not a confirmed platform capability: options must be checked against the selected platform and reviewed before saving.

Saved audiences retain version history. Campaign drafts, validation results, approvals and audit records may also be stored for review and accountability. Editing a record does not necessarily erase previous versions.

5. Publishing and approvals

Publishing requires explicit confirmation and re-checks of status, validation and verified platform access or approval. Campaigns are created in a paused or draft state. Connection alone is not permission to spend; platform activation and subsequent changes remain subject to your authorisation and platform rules.

6. Sharing and security

Data is available to authorised workspace users and providers needed to operate Social Dig. Requests to platforms include the information needed for the requested operation. Social Dig does not sell client or platform data. Access controls and server-side checks reduce unauthorised access but cannot eliminate every security risk.

7. Retention and removal

Records are retained while needed for the service, audit and security needs, or legal obligations. Deletion requests are reviewed manually, including whether you are authorised to remove shared client records. Legally required records may be retained, and backup copies may remain until they expire under the hosting provider's backup lifecycle.

Removing Social Dig data does not delete platform-side campaigns or copies held by your agency, platform or other recipients. Follow their own removal procedures. Visit Data Deletion Request to request removal from Social Dig.
